Job summary

Earth Engineering, Inc. in Houston seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, PE, to lead projects from proposal through construction. This hands-on role requires practical experience and the ability to manage investigations, analyses, reports, and client coordination.

You will oversee boring programs, review logs and lab data, perform analyses, and develop recommendations for foundations, earthwork, and pavement. Sign and seal work while mentoring EITs and junior staff.

Qualifications

• Texas PE license or eligibility to obtain TX licensure.
• 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of Gulf Coast/Houston geology.
• Ability to manage geotechnical projects from start to finish.
• Experience with shallow and deep foundation systems.
• Ability to communicate recommendations to clients and project teams.
• Ability to supervise EITs and junior engineers and sign/seal work.

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical projects from proposal and investigation through final report and construction support.
• Develop boring programs and coordinate field investigations.
• Review boring logs, laboratory results, groundwater conditions, and subsurface data.
• Perform geotechnical analyses and develop practical design recommendations.
• Prepare and review geotechnical reports.
• Develop recommendations for foundations, earthwork, pavement, and settlement.
• Coordinate directly with clients, drillers, laboratories, contractors, and project teams.
• Sign and seal engineering work within your responsible charge.
• Oversee project schedules and budgets.
