Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, Inc. seeks aSenior Geotechnical Engineer in Northern New Jersey with 12+ years of progressive geotechnical consulting experience. The candidate will oversee reports, calculations, and field support, and may participate in client development.

Local NJ candidates or those willing to relocate are encouraged to apply. A NJ PE license or reciprocity within 3 months is required, and mentoring junior staff is expected.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil/geotechnical engineering degree required.
• 12+ years in geotechnical engineering consulting.
• NJ Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 3 months.
• Willingness to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform general geotechnical engineering tasks including report and calculation preparation.
• Provide technical support to field staff and review daily field reports.
• Occasional site visits for project oversight and client coordination.
• Potentially advance to Managing Principal depending on qualifications.
