Engineering & Testing Services (ETS) is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer (PE) to lead complex geotechnical and construction materials testing projects in the Portsmouth, VA area. This role offers a blend of onsite and office work with permanent, full-time status.

You will own project scopes, budgets and schedules, mentor staff, and liaise with clients, contractors and design teams, while delivering technical excellence and compliant reports.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering and Virginia PE preferred.
• Eligible for Virginia PE licensure via reciprocity if not held.
• Minimum seven years in geotechnical consulting or materials testing.
• Strong budget, schedule and client-expectation management.
• Advanced knowledge of foundations, settlement and slope stability.

Responsabilidades

• Lead multiple geotechnical projects from proposal to delivery.
• Manage scope, budgets, schedules, staffing and quality.
• Direct subsurface exploration programs and instrumentation.
• Prepare and review technical reports, specs and calculations.
• Serve as principal technical contact for clients and design teams.
• Develop proposals, scopes and staffing plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Ensure QA/QC and compliance with procedures.
• Oversee vibration and noise monitoring programs.
• Lead specialist testing and advanced analyses.
