Job summary

Intertek's Professional Service Industries (PSI) team in Columbus, OH seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical reports from inception to delivery, mentor junior staff, and liaise with clients on projects in civil and construction sectors.

Responsibilities include proposal development, analysis, site reconnaissance, and coordination of field investigations while ensuring quality and adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Geological, or Geotechnical Engineering required.
• 8–10 years geotechnical engineering experience.
• PE registration preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with geotechnical software (gINT/Open Ground).
• Strong communication and organizational skills; English fluency.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical project tasks from inception to reporting.
• Review reports and mentor junior staff.
• Prepare proposals and geotechnical reports.
• Conduct site reconnaissance and coordinate field investigations.
• Interact with clients to communicate findings and progress.
• Maintain project scope, schedule, and budget.
