Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to manage geotechnical aspects of projects, perform analyses, and provide foundation recommendations and during construction support.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Geotechnical Engineering (Master’s preferred), a minimum of 16 years of geotechnical design experience, and a Professional Engineer certification. On-site work and Design Build exposure are valued as part of our multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 16 years of geotechnical design experience.
• Professional Engineer Certification is required.
• Design Build experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing and delivering quality geotechnical services on-time and within budget.
• Preparing and modifying reports, specifications, plan details, and designs for projects.
• Serving as a technical resource on a multi-disciplinary team.
• Preparing and managing subsurface exploration programs.
• Preparing cost estimates, determining scope of work, and preparing proposals.
• Using design software to prepare engineering recommendations.
• On-site work with client or project office when needed; involved in scoping, fee estimating, and interviews.
• Perform design calculations and investigations toward contract documents (plans, specs, estimates).
