Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to manage geotechnical aspects of projects, perform analyses, and provide recommendations during construction. You will lead subsurface exploration, coordinate budgets, and prepare design documents.

The role requires a PE and 11–15 years of geotechnical design experience, with field exposure and design-build collaboration a plus. Full-time position based in Richmond, VA with client-site and office work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering; master's preferred.
• Professional Engineer Certification is required.
• 11–15 years of geotechnical design experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical services on-time and within budget.
• Prepare and modify reports, specs, plans, and designs.
• Serve as technical resource on a multi-discipline team.
• Prepare and manage subsurface exploration programs.
• Prepare cost estimates, determine scope of work, and proposals.
• Coordinate and ensure completeness and accuracy of design effort.
• Use design software to prepare engineering recommendations.
• Collaborate on Design/Build efforts with contractor personnel.
