Schnabel’s Columbia, SC office is seeking a Senior Staff Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing geotechnical practice. You will develop both field and analytical skills while contributing to project deliverables and client engagement.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Willingness to perform field work and travel.
• Must lift 50 pounds and be physically able to negotiate construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering calculations, analyses, and data gathering for moderately complex projects under the guidance of senior level staff.
• Prepares drawings, figures, plans, specifications, and technical reports for project deliverables.
• Collects, documents, and evaluates field, laboratory, and project data.
• Supports and/or conducts field investigations, inspections, testing, construction observation, and other project-related activities.
