Job summary

Shannon & Wilson, Inc., an employee-owned geotechnical engineering firm, invites a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to Colorado to lead challenging projects, manage client relationships, and mentor a team of engineers.

You will perform analyses and calculations, prepare technical reports, and support business development while upholding QA and safety policies.

Base pay ranges from $130,000 to $185,000 with comprehensive benefits, including employee ownership and 401(k).

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with geotechnical specialization.
• MS or PhD in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering supported by a BS.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in the state where the office is located.
• 14+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Mentoring and supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple clients, contracts, and projects concurrently.
• Perform geotechnical analyses, studies, and calculations.
• Prepare and write technical engineering and other reports.
• Interact with clients, vendors, and staff at all levels.
• Lead, mentor, supervise engineers and staff.
• Review technical reports, construction observation reports, and calculations.
• Support business development and proposals to existing and prospective clients.
• Follow QA, health and safety, and loss prevention policies.
