Job summary

CTL Engineering is seeking a Sr. Geotechnical Engineer and Department Manager to lead the Geotech Team in Cleveland, OH. You will perform explorations, supervise staff, and drive projects from concept through execution for civil, industrial, and transportation assignments.

The role emphasizes leadership of the northern Ohio region, P&L ownership, and collaboration with clients and project teams. Occasional travel and a strong geotechnical background are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read design drawings.
• Ability to meet schedules.
• Experience with common geotechnical software or adapt quickly to new tools.
• Self-motivated, reliable, quality minded, and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical explorations, site characterizations, slope stability assessments and risk evaluation.
• Train and supervise lab technicians; manage QA/QC and equipment calibration.
• Develop and mentor junior engineers (EIs and new PEs).
• Oversee the northern OH region as Department Manager, including operations and P&L.
