Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager for our Austin, Texas office.

The ideal candidate will:

1. Have experience with clients local to Texas
2. Have experience with developing new business pursuits and a solid client base
3. Coordinate and communicate with internal or external clients to understand their needs
4. Manage a portfolio of projects meeting client and company requirements for safety, budget, quality and schedule
5. Safely supervise field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support.
6. Mentor and manage junior staff and project level geotechnical professionals through project performance
7. Perform and develop scopes for field and office tasks (technical and non-technical) and independent analysis.
8. Coordinate tasks and manage medium to large size multi-disciplined projects with guidance and interaction by senior operations/technical staff.
9. Prepare or review designs, reports and calculations on complex projects.

Strong analytical skills are required in areas including:

1. Soil and rock classification
2. Levee and dam design
3. Seismic evaluations
4. Slope stability analysis
5. Earth retention systems
6. Shallow and deep foundation design
7. Construction support
8. Soil improvement techniques
9. Pipeline and power transmission foundation design
10. Solar experience is a plus

Education & Experience:

1. 8+ years of related experience.
2. Registered Texas Professional Engineer (PE) License
3. Must have a positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks
4. Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
6. Position will require the candidate to adhere to work assignments/schedules, be self-motivated, organized and have a keen sense of detail.
