Job Description

General Responsibilities:

In this role, you will provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of projects and clients. Responsibilities include performing and/or leading field investigations, engineering analysis, calculations, recommendations, design and development of plans and specifications, observation and inspection, and preparing related reports. You will review drawings and construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, prepare proposals and cost estimates, track project progress and budgets, and research and resolve design and construction issues. Additionally, you will analyze laboratory or field data and communicate complex engineering concepts to diverse audiences. Services may be provided for projects in public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, and industrial sectors.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead safety efforts: Ensure team follows safety rules, create a safe work environment, and promote pre-task planning.
  2. Quality monitoring: Promote continuous quality improvement and monitor standards.
  3. Risk management: Understand project-related risks and adhere to company policies.
  4. Technical direction: Provide technical leadership for routine and complex projects.
  5. Design and investigative planning: Conceptualize initial design or investigative approaches for major project phases.
  6. Project coordination: Plan, schedule, and oversee engineering work, including complex features.
  7. Review and supervision: Review complex projects and supervise analysis and report formulation.
  8. Technical training and decision-making: Lead technical training and make informed decisions based on current technology.
  9. Leadership in marketing and business development: Contribute to marketing and sales efforts.
  10. Supervision: Oversee less experienced engineers or technical support staff.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  2. Minimum 8-11 years of experience.
  3. Master's degree in Engineering preferred.
  4. Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
  5. Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
