Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking a Project or Senior Geotechnical Engineer based in the Fredericksburg, Virginia area.
Candidates for this position should have 5 or more years of experience in geotechnical explorations and construction observation and testing, ideally in the Virginia area. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven engineer who wishes to take their career to the next level! Responsibilities will include scope and fee development and subsequent management of subsurface investigations, the ability to manage and troubleshoot soils-related issues, engineering analysis, calculations, recommendations, and the writing, preparation, and review of reports and proposals for the services provided.
As the Geotechnical Group Leader, you will provide mentoring and leadership for your team, and ensure safety rules and practices are followed.
You should have excellent business development and marketing skills, proactive in attracting new clients and maintaining existing client relationships. You will assist in the planning, research and evaluation of new market areas, sensitive to business interests and profitability.
