Qualifications

Braun Intertec is seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer to join our North Dakota team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare proposals for moderate to complex projects.
  2. Develop and execute whole geotechnical scopes.
  3. Review engineering work of others.
  4. Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies.
  5. Make geotechnical recommendations and prepare engineering reports for senior review.
  6. Understand and manage the needs of clients through communications and proposal/project work.
  7. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  8. Perform the routine aspects of civil engineering assignments, including but not limited to, familiarity with the programs, staff, and operating procedures of the company.
  9. Perform geotechnical design calculations (i.e. shallow foundation settlement and bearing capacity, deep and intermediate foundation design parameters, grading, stability, paving, geometric design, etc.), sketches, technical comparisons and similar technical work as required by assignment.
  10. Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians within the discipline group.
  11. Review drawings supplied by vendors, clients, engineers, and architects and recommend necessary changes.
  12. Identify complex problems, possible solutions and take the appropriate action to resolve.
  13. Capable of efficiently and effectively managing project teams including engineering and field support personnel.
  14. Oversee and train and/or teach Braun Intertec technical practices. Supervise and/or mentor junior level staff.
  15. Compile engineering calculations using standard formulas and computer software.
  16. Prepare field reports documenting contractors work methods, test results, and the interpretation of these tests.
  17. Work within established procedures and/or protocols. Aware of risks associated with recommendations.
  18. Developed understanding of Braun Intertec services and has the ability to market to clients.
  19. Understand and work in compliance with corporate practices, health and safety policies.
  20. Complete safety training as required.
Minimum Experience and Education:
  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Requires BS in civil or geotechnical engineering and 6+ years’ experience.
  3. Requires PE licensure in North Dakota or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Licensing or Certification requirements:
  1. Valid driver’s license and pass MVR as required.
  2. PE Certification.

Compensation Range:

$93,600.00 - $140,400.00
