Job summary

Mi-Tech Services, Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking a Senior Engineer - Geostructural to design temporary and permanent structures for utility, infrastructure and heavy civil projects.

You will develop calculation submittals, coordinate design and shop drawings, mentor other engineers, and support pursuits with preliminary evaluations. A PE license and strong communication are required; MS Excel, Mathcad and AutoCAD skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 4–8 years of experience in designing temporary works, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects.
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in structures preferred.
• Active Professional Engineer license in any state.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Mathcad, AutoCAD, and Finite Element Analysis.
• Basic geotechnical knowledge and related structures are a plus.
• Previous construction field experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-changing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Design a wide variety of temporary and permanent structures for utility, infrastructure and heavy civil projects.
• Develop calculation submittals and shop drawings.
• Support project pursuits with preliminary evaluations and analyses.
• Mentor and support other engineers and coordinate with design and field teams.
• Provide support to the Principal Engineer and perform other assigned duties.
