Job summary

Core4ce is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Developer to design, optimize, and deploy geospatial software solutions in AWS. You will work across SQL, API, and web layers, optimizing MATLAB and Python code for performance while ensuring scientific validity for GIS workflows.

You'll collaborate with scientists, GIS specialists, and cloud engineers to deliver scalable, containerized applications using Docker, AWS, OpenLayers, PostGIS, and ArcGIS Pro integrations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS or related field with 13+ years experience, or Bachelor’s with 15+ years.
• Active TS-SCI with ability to obtain CI Poly.
• Experience across full stack: databases, APIs, and web apps.
• Geospatial software experience with ESRI/ArcGIS tech.
• Knowledge of ESRI data structures; ArcGIS Pro and ESRI C# bindings preferred.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, OpenLayers, QGIS, GeoServer.
• Experience optimizing MATLAB and Python for performance.
• Experience with Docker, AWS, and cloud deployment.
• Experience with testing, validation, traceability, and Agile development.

Responsibilities

• Develop features and infrastructure across DB, API, and web tiers.
• Optimize MATLAB and Python code for performance and accuracy.
• Develop and deploy geospatial apps using PostGIS, OpenLayers, QGIS, GeoServer.
• Apply ESRI data structures using ArcGIS Pro and ESRI C# bindings.
• Support ESRI cloud and web-based applications.
• Develop, inspect, test, verify, and validate software throughout lifecycle.
• Build and deploy containerized apps using Docker and AWS.
• Implement SDLC processes and Agile methodology.
• Review designs, requirements, and change specs for compliance.
• Ensure requirements are traceable, testable, and aligned with objectives.
• Maintain technical and project documentation.
• Collaborate with scientists, GIS specialists, and cloud engineers.
