Job summary

Enterprise Maps is seeking a GIS Cloud Architect/Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise environments on AWS for a diverse client base. This is a hands-on role spanning architecture decisions, server administration, database engineering, and automation.

The role requires 4+ years administering ArcGIS Enterprise in production, strong AWS skills, and experience with enterprise geodatabases; familiarity with Python/PowerShell scripting and REST APIs is valued.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise in production.
• Strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure used to deploy enterprise GIS environments.
• Experience with enterprise geodatabases (SQL Server and PostgreSQL) and versioning.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy ArcGIS Enterprise deployments on AWS (EC2, RDS, VPC, ASG, load balancers).
• Administer and patch ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, and Data Store across client environments.
• Design and maintain enterprise geodatabases (SQL Server and PostgreSQL) with versioning.
• Plan environment promotions, upgrades, and disaster recovery configurations.
• Build automation for infrastructure and operational tasks.
• Integrate AI/LLM workflows into GIS pipelines where applicable.
• Produce technical documentation and client deliverables.
