Job summary

Esri is seeking an experienced imagery and remote sensing specialist to help design and deliver geospatial analysis solutions using data from satellites, aerial platforms, and UAS. You will contribute to image management, visualization, and analysis across GIS applications.

Ideal candidates combine a strong engineering background with Python and ArcGIS expertise to prototype workflows and collaborate on Geospatial AI initiatives across industries.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in remote sensing, image processing, or image analysis.
• Strong expertise with GIS concepts and ArcGIS platform technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct applied research and rapidly prototype analytical workflows using Python.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Geography, Remote Sensing, Geophysics, Geomatics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software developers to design, develop, and release ArcGIS remote sensing updates.
• Design, test, and validate recommended patterns for ArcGIS remote sensing advancements.
• Work with lead engineers to develop roadmaps and schedules based on user issues and feedback.
• Act as a subject matter expert for multiple products and be available for knowledge sharing and education.
• Support technology demonstrations and presentations for industry events.
• Coordinate development planning across engineering teams for broad projects like Geospatial AI.
• Help manage software development priorities and align user expectations through communication.
• Understand, test, and communicate deployment patterns for scalable imagery and remote sensing systems.
• Research, prototype, and recommend AI-enabled image analysis and embeddings.
