Job summary

MITRE’s Geospatial Intelligence Team seeks a Principal Geospatial GIS Engineer to advance NGA’s EGIS platform. The candidate will integrate ArcGIS Enterprise, consolidate GIS tech, and minimize duplication of software across programs.

Requires strong documentation, data-driven assessments, and collaboration with sponsors. On-site work and a TS/SCI with poly clearance are mandatory. MITRE provides a mission-driven environment with advanced research opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8 years with a master’s in Geospatial Information Science or related field.
• Experience with ArcGIS and Esri capabilities for analysis.
• Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support development of geospatial data science, modeling, analysis, visualization, and engineering deliverables for sponsor projects and programs.
• Remain current on open-source and government techniques and tools for geospatial data science.
• Apply spatial data science techniques to tackle customer challenges including geospatial statistics and AI.
• Build and test geospatial prototypes in MITRE and cloud environments.
