Job summary

Certerra is seeking a Senior Geophysicist in Tucson to provide technical leadership in planning, execution, and interpretation of geophysical investigations for environmental, mining, and groundwater projects.

The role requires advanced proficiency in ERT, EM, seismic methods, borehole logging, and IP, with 8+ years in geophysics, and willingness to travel. Compensation is commensurate with experience, with strong client interaction.

Qualifications

B.S. in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geophysics, or Geological Engineering.
M.S. in geoscience-related field counts as two years of experience; Ph.D. counts as four years.
8+ years experience with geophysical services in field and office settings.
Understanding of GPS, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
Proficiency with Excel and Word; experience with geoscience software and technical reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design, execution, and interpretation of complex geophysical investigations.
Serve as technical lead from proposal to final deliverables.
Evaluate objectives and select appropriate geophysical methods.
Integrate results with geological and engineering datasets.
Mentor junior staff and ensure safety and quality.
