Job summary

Certerra is seeking a Senior Geophysicist to provide technical leadership and oversight of geophysical investigations across environmental, mining, and groundwater projects. You will plan, execute, and interpret data, mentor staff, and collaborate with clients to deliver high‑quality results.

The role requires expertise in ERT, EM, seismic methods, borehole geophysics, and IP, with travel as needed. Open to candidates with strong field and office experience and a proven track record in project

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geophysics, or Geological Engineering required.
M.S. in geoscience-related field counts as two years of experience; Ph.D. counts as four years.
8+ years experience with geophysical services firm; 50% time in the field.
Strong organizational and communication skills; proficient with Excel and Word; geoscience software experience.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design, execution, and interpretation of complex geophysical investigations.
Serve as technical lead from proposal through final deliverables.
Coordinate field operations, staffing, logistics and subcontractors.
Mentor junior geophysicists and staff; provide technical guidance on field procedures, data processing, and interpretation.
Present project results to clients or at technical conferences; support business development.
