Job summary

Certerra seeks a Senior Geophysicist to lead complex geophysical investigations supporting environmental, mining, groundwater, and related projects. You will plan, execute, interpret data, mentor staff, and coordinate field operations across teams and clients. Travel up to 60% is expected based on project needs.

Advanced proficiency in multiple methods (ERT, EM, magnetic, seismic, borehole logging, IP) and experience with data processing and reporting are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience with a geophysical services firm or department with 50 percent in the field.
• Experience with field activities, GPS, troubleshooting techniques, and safety.
• Proficiency with Excel/Word and geoscience software; ability to write technical reports.
• Ability to manage projects, budgets, schedules, and client communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, execution, and interpretation of complex geophysical investigations.
• Serve as technical lead from proposals through final deliverables.
• Coordinate field operations, staffing, logistics and subcontractors.
• Mentor junior geophysicists and staff; provide technical guidance on field procedures.
• Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement in projects.
