Job summary

Crescent Energy is seeking an accomplished Geologist for its South Texas assets, based in Houston. The role supports development and production of oil and gas reservoirs, leveraging geoscience techniques to optimize asset value.

You will contribute to field development plans, data integration, and cross-functional collaboration with development, operations, and business teams. The candidate will have a minimum of ten years’ E&P geoscience experience, proficiency in Kingdom, and a BS in Geology

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology, Geophysics or related field of study.
Ten or more years of Exploration & Production (E&P) or relevant geoscience experience.
Experience in South Texas
Proficiency with Kingdom software
Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record to operate Company vehicle.

Responsibilities

Maintain asset characterizations of hydrocarbon volumes, subsurface controls and risks and integrated recovery expectations.
Generate optimal field development plans, including delineation of acreage, appraisal of multiple landing targets, and the economic justification for proper well spacing.
Work with Development team on recommendations for data acquisition, leasing and drilling projects.
Support the Operations Geologist with well planning, the pre-spud process and drilling and completions activity.
Work closely with completions and operations engineers to design and propose optimal frac designs and develop drawdown strategies.
Evaluate and integrate competitor activity and results.
Provide analysis and support for non-op activity, recommendations and decisions.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks
Collaborate with the Business Development team on acquisition opportunities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
