Job summary

Ivanhoe Electric is seeking an experienced Exploration Geologist for a permanent role at the Gleeson project in Arizona. You will gather high-quality geologic information and support supervising the geology team and contractors in a remote field-based setting.

Responsibilities include core logging, field mapping, sampling, data QA/QC, budget monitoring, and timely reporting while maintaining safety and project standards in a dynamic, multi-rig exploration program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geology required; a Master’s in economic geology preferred.
• 10+ years’ experience in porphyry, epithermal, or CRD mineral systems in early-stage, field-based exploration.
• 3–5 years as a senior exploration geologist on multi-drill-rig programs preferred.
• Experience supervising drilling contractors and knowledge of drilling processes.
• Proficiency with GIS and resource modeling software (Leapfrog/ArcGIS).

Responsibilities

• Support Gleeson project exploration program execution, including core logging, mapping and sampling.
• Interpretation and modeling of geologic data; ensure QA/QC and data quality.
• Assist with exploration budgets and monitor project timelines/budgets.
• Prepare timely reports of project and program activities and manage stakeholder relations.
• Maintain safety, confidentiality, and code of conduct; operate in remote field setting.
