Job summary

ECC is seeking a Senior Geologist to plan, lead, and execute geological services for environmental remediation and hazardous waste projects. You will manage field sampling, analysis, and reporting, while coordinating with project teams to meet schedule and budget.

The role requires extensive field experience, strong leadership, and the ability to travel up to 50%. A Bachelor’s in Life, Earth, or Natural Sciences is required, with advanced credentials encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life, earth, or natural sciences; equivalent combination acceptable.
• Eight years progressively responsible experience with four in the field.
• PE, PG, CQM, CQA, QEP, CHMM, PMP, or similar credentials.
• HAZWOPER 40 Hour Certification/8 Hour Refresher.
• USACE Contractor Quality Management for Contractors certification.
• Ability to travel up to 50% depending on company needs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead geological sampling and analysis activities and related reports.
• Lead and delegate work of others on geological projects.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Superintendent, and support teams to ensure progress and budget adherence.
• Prepare, review, and issue project/submittals within budget and schedule.
• Ensure testing by qualified personnel with calibrated equipment.
• Develop RFQs and assist in procurement of labs and subcontractors.
• Report to field teams for sampling or O&M activities and review work for compliance.
