Job summary

Broadbent & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Geologist to manage environmental projects in Nevada. This role combines technical expertise, regulatory coordination, project leadership, and client service.

The successful candidate will oversee scope-to-close on soil, groundwater, and petroleum-related investigations, coordinate with NDEP, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development. Strong writing and communication skills are essential for reporting and client interaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
• Fifteen or more years of progressively responsible environmental consulting experience.
• Experience coordinating with the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP).
• Nevada CEM preferred; PG or RG eligibility within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation projects from proposal through regulatory closure.
• Prepare project scopes, proposals, cost estimates, work plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Manage Nevada petroleum release and UST projects, including Petroleum Fund projects and documentation.
• Coordinate with NDEP, clients, property owners, laboratories, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Develop conceptual site models (CSMs) using history, field data, geology, and contaminant distribution.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical direction on field activities and reports.
