Job summary

The NATIONAL GEOSPATIAL-INTELLIGENCE AGENCY seeks a Senior GEOINT History Program Specialist to lead the organization’s historical program, from research and writing to curation and operations, within NGA’s Historical Research Center.

The senior historian provides oversight of history services, including AP style copy editing, and works across content development, artifact management, and museum activities to preserve NGA history for staff and the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in History, Geography, Library Science, Museum Studies, Museum Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Content development & execution for historical content (articles, brochures, social media, podcasts, exhibits).
• Historical Research Center management: artifact storage, curation, archival management, and accessibility.
• NGA Museum management: loans, exhibits, acquisition decisions, and museum communications.
• Internal collaboration & oversight: copy editing and quality assurance for history program products.
