Placements24 is seeking a Senior Genomics Researcher to advance our genomic science initiatives. The role is primarily remote with periodic lab work at the East London facility, Eastern Cape, South Africa.

You will design experiments, analyze sequencing data, and contribute to diagnostic and therapeutic solutions. The ideal candidate holds a PhD in genomics or related field and has 5+ years post‑doc experience with NGS, data interpretation, and publications.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related life sciences field
• Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral research experience in genomics
• Proven hands-on experience with NGS technologies and library preparation methods
