Job summary

TALENT Software Services in Chicago seeks a Data Scientist specializing in Generative AI, Agentic AI, NLP and LLMs to design scalable AI solutions for enterprise data. You will collaborate with engineering and business teams to deploy production AI, optimize RAG, and ensure responsible AI governance while mentoring junior data scientists.

Lead complex AI initiatives, implement robust evaluation frameworks, and drive adoption of enterprise AI across client projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data science, analytics, ML or AI.
• Expertise in generative AI, agentic AI, NLP and LLMs.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, SAS or similar languages.
• Experience with Databricks, cloud platforms and distributed computing.
• Hands-on with vector databases, semantic search, knowledge graphs and metadata management.
• Experience deploying, monitoring and maintaining production AI solutions.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI, governance, explainability, bias detection, risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced ML, generative AI and agentic AI solutions.
• Build and deploy scalable data science products and assets.
• Design agentic AI architectures with LLMs, retrieval, APIs and business rules.
• Optimize RAG to improve retrieval quality and reliability.
• Develop AI evaluation frameworks for accuracy, latency and safety.
• Collaborate with engineering and client teams to deploy production AI.
• Monitor and improve deployed AI models and applications.
• Ensure responsible AI governance and risk management.
• Communicate findings to both technical and business stakeholders.
