Job summary

System One is seeking a Generative AI Developer to advance AI-powered applications in an onsite, direct-hire role in the Knoxville region. The ideal candidate will leverage Python, LLMs, and cloud services to build scalable AI features integrated with enterprise systems.

You will participate in the full SDLC, implement REST-based back-end services, and collaborate with QA, analysts, and other technical stakeholders to deliver robust AI-enabled capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Experience with Generative AI applications.
• Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience with AWS cloud deployments.
• Developing and deploying REST APIs and backend services.
• Familiarity with secure development practices.
• Knowledge of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Generative AI applications and services using Python.
• Build functionality with LLMs and Generative AI capabilities.
• Integrate AI with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and cloud services.
• Develop and support AI solutions in an AWS-based environment.
• Work with prompt engineering, LLM APIs, and related techniques.
• Develop APIs and back end services enabling interaction with AI models and data sources.
• Participate in SDLC including requirements, development, testing, and deployment support.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable Python code for enterprise apps.
• Perform unit testing and troubleshoot issues in development and testing cycles.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
• Follow established enterprise development, security, testing, and deployment standards.
• Stay current with evolving Generative AI technologies and apply them to business problems.
