Job summary

Moore Industries in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a General Superintendent to lead on-site construction efforts for industrial projects. You will supervise multiple crews, manage safety, quality, scheduling, and client communication, and ensure projects stay on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years as lead superintendents, strong leadership and communication skills, and a TWIC credential. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience as lead project superintendent in industrial/construction.
• Proven experience managing multiple job sites and field teams.
• Intermediate to strong computer skills.
• Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship-building abilities.
• TWIC credential required.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule construction activities and allocate resources efficiently.
• Supervise and coordinate field teams and subcontractors to meet milestones.
• Monitor quality of workmanship and safety compliance on site.
• Control project costs and optimize resource use.
• Maintain and review project documentation and daily reports.
• Interface with clients and provide project updates as needed.
• Provide leadership to superintendents and craft personnel.
• Ensure staff compliance with QA/QC and company policies.
• Conduct site visits and review contract documents to verify scope.
• Coordinate with HR, safety, QA/QC, and project management.
