Job summary

Moore Industries in Baton Rouge seeks a results-driven Superintendent to lead on-site activities from project start to finish. You will ensure safety, quality, schedule, and cost, managing direct hires and subcontractors while communicating weekly progress to stakeholders.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years as a lead superintendent in industrial/commercial settings, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and a TWIC credential. A construction management degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a lead project superintendent in industrial/commercial markets.
• Intermediate to strong computer skills.
• Strong leadership, management, and communication abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Active TWIC credential.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all onsite activities from start to finish of project.
• Ensure jobsite safety, quality, schedule, cost, and onsite personnel.
• Manage direct hire employees on site.
• Manage subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and timely completion of work.
• Provide weekly progress updates and reporting necessary to update schedules and tracking logs.
• Order materials and/or equipment as needed to complete scope of work.
• Facilitate and lead weekly subcontractor progress meetings.
• Attend and represent Moore at weekly owner progress meetings.
• Effectively review and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Manage conflict resolution with subcontractors, vendors, and client professionally.

Salary: 100-130K Annually (salary based on experience)

Requirements:

• Must have intermediate to strong computer skills
• Must possess strong leadership, management, and communication skills
• Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and be able to maintain a healthy working relationship with a diverse group of individuals
• Hold active TWIC credential

• Must pass a background check and drug screen

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred but not required.
