Job summary

TPC- Building Projects, A Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a General Superintendent to join the Brooklyn Jail Project in Brooklyn, NY. You will lead on-site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance on a multi-billion dollar facility.

Responsibilities include field leadership, coordination with management, and maintaining quality and security standards for a correctional construction environment.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial or institutional construction (correctional facilities preferred).
• Strong knowledge of structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Experience managing complex, secure, or high-risk construction environments.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam).
• High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and supervise all on-site construction activities for the jail project.
• Manage and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
• Conduct daily meetings and briefings with crews to outline tasks, safety requirements, and goals.
