Job summary

Cubic Transportation Systems in New York and New Jersey seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead CTS with full P&L accountability and strategic program ownership. The role drives long-term value, oversees design, build, and service delivery, and engages with senior government officials and industry partners to ensure high-performance outcomes.

The candidate will lead cross-functional teams, shape strategy, manage commercial performance, and promote transformation toward an integrated delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field with 10+ years of progressive leadership in program management.
• Strong strategic leadership and vision for growth in regulated markets.
• Past/current experience with full P&L and commercial ownership.
• Deep understanding of government relations and stakeholder engagement.
• Financial discipline and risk management with KPI development.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for CTS NY/NJ with annual operating planning and long-term growth.
• Own end-to-end programs across design, build, operations, and service delivery.
• Manage program-level P&L, revenue targets, cash flow, and ROA.
• Direct sales and account management to identify new opportunities and manage changes.
• Engage senior government officials, regulators, and partners with credibility.
• Negotiate contract terms, changes, and claims with legal and external advisors.
• Ensure governance, compliance, safety, quality, and CTS policy adherence.
• Lead and develop matrixed teams across engineering, operations, and commercial functions.
