Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a General Manager to lead store performance, drive professional customer sales and coach a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires strong automotive knowledge, systems understanding, and the ability to manage schedules and inventory while maintaining high service standards. The position entails long hours across 5-6 days per week with weekends, and offers a commission component tied to store performance.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience managing a team of 10-20 in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Successful experience managing profitability; proven financial and business acumen.
• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• ASE certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage and grow Professional Customer relationships and sales, including driving action plans.
• Selection, hiring, development, performance mgmt., coaching, scheduling and engagement of store Team Members.
• Ensure execution of all inventory and operational standards.
• Coach Team Members to deliver on Customer expectations (DIY and Professional).
• Manager on duty responsibilities and safety; open/close duties.
