Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Houston, TX seeks a Senior General Liability Attorney to independently manage a complex defense caseload and lead case strategy from inception through resolution. The role demands strong client communication and the ability to coordinate with experts and colleagues in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of defense litigation experience, Texas admission, and first-chair trial exposure; transportation and tort matters are a plus.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in Texas.
• 8+ years of defense litigation experience.
• Experience with personal injury, general liability, and transportation matters preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Client-facing experience preferred.
• First chair trial experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a complex defense litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Develop and implement case strategy, including motion practice and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda in state and federal courts.
• Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Represent clients at court hearings, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Provide strategic legal advice and regular case updates to clients.
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues on complex litigation matters.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal support staff.
• Participate in trial preparation, including witness and exhibit management.
• Maintain strong client relationships while delivering high-quality legal work.
