Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking a Coordinator IV for General Ledger & Compliance to lead end-to-end GL maintenance and TEA FASRG compliance. This role reports to the Director of Accounting and drives accurate financial reporting across the district.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, 4 years in financial management (preferably in a school district), and knowledge of accounting regulations. CPA/RTSBA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 4 years of progressive financial management, preferably in a school district.
• CPA or RTSBA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial activities and end-to-end general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals for period cutoffs.
• Analyze district finances and budget activity to inform leadership.
• Coordinate across departments to gather transaction data and clear reconciling items.
• Support audit schedules and documentation for state and internal audits.
• Ensure TEA FASRG compliance and internal controls.
