Responsibilities

• Maintain integrity of ledgers and transactions.
• Partner with other departments to coordinate monthly close.
• Prepares and enters complex journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepares of monthly financial statements.
• Reviews and analyzes various accounts utilizing variance reporting.
• Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
• Primary point of contact for external auditors.
• Assist in training of staff accountants.
• Investigate and conduct root cause analysis on transactional posting errors occurring through various system feeds.
• Collaborates with IS in taking corrective action on resolving system issues and defining system requirements for program modifications.
• Assist in the analysis of the system posting processes and provides recommendations for improvements.
• Interacts with other Finance Groups (AP, AR, VPC) in identifying system related issues within their environment.
