H&H, with a strong New York City presence, seeks a General Ledger Accountant to uphold GAAP and FAR compliance. Responsibilities span GL maintenance, monthly close, and cross-functional coordination to ensure precise financial postings.

The role emphasizes rigorous accounting practices, accurate reconciliations, and collaboration with audit activities within a private, longstanding infrastructure firm environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 3+ years of general ledger or corporate accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of FAR requirements; FAR training can be provided on the job.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control environments.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Deltek Vantagepoint.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP and FAR requirements.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals and reclassifications.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes for timely financial reporting.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure proper classification of costs in compliance with FAR guidelines.
• Assist with audits and prepare supporting documentation.
• Maintain documentation to support FAR compliance and audit trails.
• Coordinate with AP, AR, Payroll, and Project Accounting teams for accurate postings.
