Responsibilities

• Directly handles, oversees and manages tort and other litigation matters and develops district-wide litigation strategy.
• Provides counsel to district leadership on litigation matters and strategies to minimize liability.
• Represents the School District and its officers in varied transactions and litigation.
• Leads and trains staff in litigation-related matters and conducts district-wide professional development.
• Defends lawsuits, conducts discovery, and coordinates with outside counsel as needed.
• Advises employees and helps shape district practices through committee participation.
