Job summary

Trexquant Investment is seeking an experienced General Counsel to provide partner-level legal guidance across global corporate matters in a high-growth, tech-driven financial services environment.

The GC will report to the CEO and partner with the Chief Legal Officer to guide governance, strategy, and significant negotiations, while leading the internal legal team and managing external counsel.

Qualifications

• JD degree with active bar license.
• 10+ years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience with private funds or financial services preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day strategic legal counsel to executives and management on corporate developments.
• Advise on mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other corporate initiatives.
• Provide counsel on compensation, employment, and workforce-related legal matters.
• Advise on immigration, trade, and cross-border legal matters for global operations (NY/CT focus).
• Lead and mentor in-house legal resources and coordinate with external counsel.
