Moody’s Investors Service seeks a General Counsel for Moody’s Analytics to serve as the senior legal partner to the MA CEO and leadership team. You will embed legal strategy, risk management, and regulatory compliance into global growth, product development, and partnerships.

The role oversees commercial transactions, licensing, data rights, and AI governance across a multi-product, international business, coordinating with enterprise legal and compliance functions.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active Bar membership in good standing.
• 15+ years of legal experience, including in-house leadership in a complex, global organization.
• Deep expertise in commercial transactions and licensing (software, SaaS, data licensing).

Responsibilities

• Advise MA senior leadership on legal strategy and risk across global business.
• Lead negotiation and drafting of software, data licensing, SaaS, APIs, and partnerships.
• Manage M&A deal processes, due diligence, and post-closing integration.
• Develop scalable templates, playbooks, and workflows; leverage AI for efficiency.
