Job summary

The Senior General Accountant role at Magna Exteriors supports the Accounting Department with accurate accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, journal entries and financial reporting. You will handle monthly journal entries, intercompany reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, vendor invoicing, audits, and tax packages in a dynamic automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word is expected.
• Experience with accounting software; Solomon (MS Dynamics) is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy and precision.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Automotive industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare standard monthly journal entries.
• Prepare wire transfers for foreign currency vendor payments and record entries.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations with divisions.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Record corporate invoices including IT expenses and MSAs.
• Assist in annual audit and tax package preparation.
• Prepare Concur reimbursement reports and expense entries.
• Prepare and file Form 1099s.
• Prepare intercompany invoices for third party charges.
• Prepare monthly manpower reports for contract and direct employees.
• Support employee expense inquiries and act as expense processing backup.
• Apply cash receipts and post deposits to AR.
• Review and create purchase orders in ReQlogic.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager.
