Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Three years progressively responsible professional accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Advanced Excel and ERP financial systems experience.
• Five years progressively responsible professional accounting experience.
• Experience in higher education or not-for-profit accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and reconcile complex general ledger accounts.
• Research accounting discrepancies and determine correct treatment.
• Assist Accounting Manager with month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities.
• Analyze financial activity and recommend corrective actions.
• Administer and monitor daily banking activity with auditable journal records.
• Perform reconciliations of cash, loan, student aid, and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and review journal entries per GAAP and policies.
• Review journal entries and budget adjustments for accuracy.
