Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an Accountant to join our growing team in California. You will handle general ledger, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Analyze financial information and investigate variances and discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting as needed.
• Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for audits and financial reporting.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projects.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with departments to improve processes and resolve accounting issues.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives for efficiency and accuracy.
• Support special projects and other accounting functions as assigned.
