Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist on the Foundational AI (FAI) team to build GenAI technology with LLMs. You will develop RL Gyms, assess their usefulness for frontier model advancement, and work on foundational model development in an applied research role.

You will leverage Amazon’s data sources and compute resources to accelerate advances in LLMs and contribute to customer-facing products and services powered by GenAI.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building ML models for business applications.
• Experience with profiling and debugging large-scale ML systems and understanding of performance and scalability.
• Programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.

Responsibilities

• Develop RL Gyms and assess their usefulness for frontier model advancement.
• Build techniques to advance the state of the art with LLMs.
• Support foundational model development in an applied research role.
