Amazon Science's Foundational AI Assets (FAI) team seeks a Senior Applied Scientist with a strong deep learning background to advance Generative AI with Large Language Models and deliver real-world impact.

You will design and deploy novel ML models, lead rigorous experiments, and mentor scientists and engineers. Collaborate across engineering, product, and science to translate complex business problems into scalable scientific solutions in Boston, MA.

Qualificações

• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.
• 5+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience.
• PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement novel ML/deep learning models from research to production.
• Drive scientific agenda and align with technical leadership on priorities.
• Evaluate and improve model performance with rigorous experiments; use Transformers, CNNs, PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Mentor scientists and engineers; conduct code and design reviews to raise the technical bar.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and science partners to translate business problems into scientific approaches.
