Job summary

Capital One is seeking an AI Engineer 5 to advance our GenAI platform services. You will partner with engineers, researchers, PMs, and product teams to design and deploy AI software components, including foundation models, multi-agent workflows, and vector databases, while driving governance and observability across complex AI systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, AI, electrical/computer engineering or related field with required experience.
• Master's degree with relevant experience also acceptable.
• 6+ years developing AI/ML algorithms or related technologies; 4+ years with Master's.

Responsibilities

• Deliver AI-powered products with cross-functional teams and customers in mind.
• Design, develop, test, deploy and support AI software components (foundation models, agents, inference).
• Lead optimization of large-scale AI systems for cost, latency, and throughput.
• Define and evolve the technical vision and roadmap for foundational AI at Capital One.
