Job summary

Blue Yonder is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer (Gen AI and ML) to join our Coppell, TX team in a hybrid role.

You will build and maintain backend services for the Retail Planning product, emphasizing GenAI-enabled coding and scalable, multi-tenant architecture. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in software development, strong Python and AI/ML experience, and familiarity with Spring Boot, Kafka, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 6+ years of software development experience.
• Strong programming skills with Python and a solid background in AI/ML software development.
• Experience forecasting/demand planning or applied data science is a plus.
• Ability to work with stakeholders and translate requirements into deliverables.
• Familiarity with cloud concepts (private/hybrid/public) and Azure preferred.
• Experience with backend frameworks like Spring Boot/Spring Cloud and messaging systems like Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend components of the Blue Yonder Retail Planning product using Python/Java.
• Apply ML/data science techniques to improve forecast accuracy and planning outputs.
• Design and maintain robust APIs to integrate with ERP and inventory systems.
• Collaborate with QA to implement testing frameworks and ensure code quality.
• Work with stakeholders to translate requirements into features and deliverables.
• Contribute to GenAI agent development for supply chain use cases.
