Job summary

Deloitte's Forward Deployed Engineers enable clients to translate AI ambitions into enterprise-scale impact. The Senior Microsoft AI&Data FDE in Indianapolis will prototype GenAI solutions, collaborate with client teams, and deliver working software from day one.

You will lead sessions, mentor junior FDEs, and develop demos/POCs while contributing reusable assets. Requires 5+ years in software/data/analytics, GenAI experience, and ability to travel ~50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering.
• 5+ years of software/data/analytics engineering experience.
• 1+ years building GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in client or production environments.
• 1+ years with Microsoft AI & Data including Azure AI Foundry.
• 1+ years leading project workstreams and translating business problems into AI solutions.
• 1+ years writing reliable, maintainable code.
• Ability to travel 50% on average.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Embed with clients to identify business needs and translate GenAI use cases into solutions.
• Partner with leaders, product owners, architects, and engineers to align priorities and delivery.
• Lead sessions to shape solutions and drive client outcomes.
• Prototype and deliver working AI solutions using industry expertise and emerging capabilities.
• Mentor newer team members and contribute to intellectual capital.
• Coach client teams on platform capabilities and AI enablement, building trusted relationships.
• Drive end-to-end sales and delivery support with demos/POCs and proposals.
• Document solutions for smooth handoff and knowledge transfer.
• Contribute reusable assets including code, prompt libraries, runbooks, and reference implementations.
• Build AI-enabled solutions, agentic platforms, and workflows across enterprise AI platforms.
• Develop scalable engineering patterns, MLOps practices, and architecture balance.
