Job summary

Deloitte's Forward Deployed Engineers transform AI ideas into enterprise impact by blending engineering with client-focused delivery. As a Microsoft AI & Data FDE, you will collaborate with senior client teams to rapidly prototype and deploy GenAI-enabled solutions that deliver measurable business value from day one.

You will build production-ready AI platforms, define scalable patterns, and ensure quality with robust testing, CI/CD, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, data science or engineering.
• 3+ years in software, data, or analytics engineering.
• 1+ years building GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in client or production environments.
• 1+ years with Microsoft AI & Data including Azure AI Foundry.
• 1+ years leading project workstreams/engagements and translating business problems into AI solutions.
• 1+ years building reliable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Ability to travel 50% on average.

Responsibilities

• Embed with clients to identify business needs and translate high-value GenAI use cases into solutions.
• Partner with leaders, product owners, architects, and engineers to align priorities and delivery.
• Lead working sessions to shape solutions and drive client outcomes.
• Prototype and deliver working AI solutions using industry expertise and emerging capabilities.
• Contribute independently within an FDE pod while mentoring newer team members.
